It’s Sew Easy

Hello and Welcome

My name is Cynthia Sheehan and I am owner and creator of It‘s Sew Easy.

I started sewing in the third grade when I hand sewed an apron for my Mother’s Christmas present.  I have loved to sew ever since, winning 1st prize in a state competition at 14.  I continued to make clothes for myself and family including leisure suits for my father.  I entered the craft world in the 70’s to earn extra spending money for Christmas.  I began with Christmas ornaments, cross stitch items, tote bags and bibs, selling the items at local fall and winter holiday shows.  It’s Sew Easy was born when I realized that the Bibs were the most popular items and if I specialized in them I could attend craft shows year round.  The original bib line was child based but has been extended to include burp cloths, adult cover-ups, and vinyl backed items as well.  I have found the kitchen towel and finger tip towel pull over the head style to still be the customer favorites.  I can applique most all styles of bibs.  I have created over 40,000 bibs and look forward to many more.  I find sewing both relaxing and creatively satisfying and enjoy the fact that my Husband, Mother and Daughter are able to accompany me often on craft shows in Northeastern New York and throughout Vermont.   Craft shows are also a wonderful way to meet up with old friends and make new ones.   I am a member of the Society of Vermont Artists and Craftsmen and volunteer to organize their two craft shows in Ludlow VT  during July and August.  I have a wonderful son and daughter and 3 incredible grandchildren and spend as much free time with them as possible.  So come on in and look around.
